trust our heaviness

This is what the things can teach us:
to fall,
patiently to trust our heaviness.
Even a bird has to do that
before he can fly.

I found this short passage on Jill’s beautiful blog, A Thousand Shades of Gray, which is a daily read for me.

Thank you for reminding me of this. I needed to hear it again today. And it makes me so happy to imagine you there, reading.

I’ve been working on that recently, keeping hold of trust and patience even when things leave me feeling “heavy” and bogged down. Sometimes, just a simple shift in perspective can make life so much lighter!

This year I’ve resolved to visit and comment on a positive blog every day, keeping a list on my own site for reference, and have found that it does wonders for my mindset! I’ve added your site as today’s entry. 🙂 Glad I found my way here!
